Word Clock – My first Wimm One app!

What I love about the Wimm One watch is that it runs Android OS which means there are some great development environments available for this device. We’re in conversion hell at work and while I’ve had the watch for a while, it took me a while to actually develop a little app. All in all once I had the development environment setup, it only took me short time to get my first app completed. Although Wimm doesn’t like us to call the Wimm One a watch, most people will wear this device as a watch so it only made sense to write a watch app first.
How does the app work? The watch app has basically a bunch of time related words on the screen and depending on the actual time, the correct words will light up. Time shown is accurate within 5 minutes.
I was trying to find a picture of a similar word app on the internet and noticed while writing this blog that Biegert & Funk actually created a “time in words” wrist watch: http://qlocktwo.com/info_w.php?lang=en
Another great reason to get a Wimm One since you can do so much more than running a word clock app on this device!
